It smells like smoke/weed in the apartments. Clearly they don't care to clean up before you move in. I asked them about it and they said there isn't much more they can do and suggested I just spray some Febreze. Genuinely disgusting place, newly installed kitchen cabinets almost make it seem like it could be nice but even those were done by someone not good at their job. When they come to fix stuff its done in the worst and cheapest way possible, and they will leave their mess behind and caked into the floors. Wall heating is hanging off the wall and touching the carpets had to try and fix it multiple times until I just gave up asking. There is no world that this costs $1000 to live in, just taking advantage of people who need a place to live and don't want to live in a dangerous area. In the shower be prepared to get sprayed with ice cold water or steaming hot water at any given time. Another funny thing is they attempted to put safety grips on the stairs outside only to have them blow away in 2 days and they are just hanging over the stairs. One of the dryers hasn't worked since I moved in. They have been notified multiple times and yet it still hasn't been fixed. Only good thing is that the neighbors are quiet. Oh, and there is a decent chance your packages will be stolen if you have stuff dropped at your door as well. The closet doors don't track and they tried to fix that, those also still don't work properly. I could go on but DTN loves to steal your money any way they can. They do not care about anything other than getting money. Good luck breaking your lease after you find out it is a terrible place to live because you get charged double on top of it.
Added pics to show you how gross it is. Yes they did fix it the best they could but only for me to give up after it not holding up and them leaving messes. I got tired of men constantly having to get into my apartment without me there.

I have been living in Okemos Village Apartments for many years. They are in a great location for shopping and there are many grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Management and Maintenance are always courteous and prompt. I would recommend Okemos Village as a great place to live.

These apartments are beautiful! All of my guests, including myself are astonished at the spacious floor plan and the jaw dropping kitchen! These apartments are walking distance to so many shopping opportunities! Ive lived here almost a full year now and Ive never had any issues with management or even neighbors! Clean and friendly around the clock! 10/10 recommend living here!
