I would do one star, but that seems too cruel. DTN management is NOT military friendly. I tried to move out early because I have orders for more than 90 days and since I cant move out (which I have to right to with military orders) I have to drive for more than an hour to go to and from work. They really should give me a break since Im paying over $100 in gas every week. Also they charge way too much for the technology fee for the very slow mediocre wifi. I also know a couple females that had to move out and pay more for another apartment because their apartment flooded. To me, they should be paying for the same price that they were paying before they were forced to move apartments. So all in all, if youre in the military dont use any apartment complexes that are under DTN management and if youre being forced to move into another apartment due to flooding, seek out another apartment complex. I cant wait until Im officially done with them.

Worse place to ever live in East Lansing. Very rude staff in the office especially the office manager and not helpful what so ever. When our living room & bathroom was having issues with water leaking. It took them 2 weeks to come and fix it correctly. If you were considering moving here I would choose a different community to live at!

Mixed feelings about my time at Berrytree. My personal experience is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment on the top floor. The apartments themselves are pretty spaciousaside from the kitchen and bathroom areait's been overall quiet enough from neighbors, although the trains are quite loud as a crossing is close by, and the rent is decent. Maintenance requests during the school year and before the pandemic were usually pretty quick, with some caveats discussed below. I never had a problem with the front desk staff or packages being stolen.
However, when I first moved in I noticed that that carpets weren't even vacuumed, let alone professionally cleaned. It was unsettling the amount of dust and hair my vacuum picked up. The paint is a cheap white paint they must slap on the walls every year or two, with plenty of paint getting on the counters, doorknobs, and fixtures. There has been a persistent problem with the heat continuing to stay on despite the thermostat being turned off; it can be 81 F inside the apartment with all the windows open while it is cloudy and 60 F outside. Also, if you want a carport, know that you will have to pay for it for the remainder of the lease with way to cancel itthis wasn't explicitly stated when I was purchasing mine. Also, DTN management has had a very lackluster response to the global pandemic, by just waiving late fees for a week into April or offering a 0% loan of $500 with only a week to apply for said funds.
