*BEWARE OF this place.* Just helped my Girlfriend move out of this place. Truly a nice place as far as amenities and living space goes but Management is terrible. Even moving out this place they never let her know when it was time to renew and then tried to raise her rent and give her late penalty all within the same email. DID Not send notice to her and made her to prove they forgot. Truly an unprofessional group when even after having to help them do their jobs gave nothing but attitude and denial. They claimed that the market price was increasing with no data raising rent 200$. With no notice after being fully moved out they threatened to take her to collections for not paying final rent when again there was no notice of any final totals after turning in keys. She paid it, just for them to keep her deposit and then say it was needed for how bad the clean apartment was ok. A nice place with bad management. Just remember that. Youve been warned.

I have lived at elevations since 2019. The entire time the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect with a walking trail and wooded area close near by. The complexs also hosts resident events rather frequently which are always fun to attend! I would highly recommend elevations if you are looking for an apartment in okemos.

Such a friendly, safe and fun place to live. Plenty to do around the area, a pool and activities at the clubhouse almost each month! The staff were always helpful and welcoming.

I rented an apartment at Elevation Okemos from May 2022 to July 2023. When I first moved here, everything was ideal and the office staff were polite and professional. However, a few months into my lease, wasps started entering my apartment and I am severely allergic. I submitted maintenance requests and maintenance would come, however, maintenance wanted to take a "one step at a time" approach, for reasons I am not particularly sure of. At one point, a leasing staff member and a maintenance technician came to my apartment and the leasing staff member seemed to think that I was complaining about wasps outside. Typically maintenance would come, look around, and tell me that they could not find anything. I constantly needed to escalate and remind staff of the life threatening danger. While staff listened and apologized, they simply stated that there was not much they could do as it was a busy season for their maintenance team. I stated that if I suffered an allergic reaction that I would need to be taken out of my apartment by ambulance. I was told that this was an overreaction and to calm down by office staff. At this point, I had roughly 30 wasps entering my apartment daily and feared for my life, and had no other place I could stay. I was sleeping under a net canopy at night. There were no other solutions presented by the staff and when I offered alternatives, there was no flexibility. All I was told I could do was be patient, wait for the exterminator and maintenance techs, and that staff was doing as much as they could. It was a constant and persistent cycle. The wasps were finally resolved when a new exterminator finally brought professional grade pesticide and sprayed a nest that they had not seen before, even though they had investigated several times. When I lived here, I did not have kids or pets at the time, however I specifically would not advise anyone with kids or pets to live here. There were immediate dangers and threats to my health and safety, and while office staff was apologetic, there was not a sense of urgency to resolve this issue and when pressed, I was told this time of year is busy for the exterminator and that they were doing as much as they could. I could not imagine having a pet or a child while going through this. The apartments are new and have very little deterioration issues, so possibly that may be why they struggle with more significant maintenance issues. In the middle of my lease, there was a change in management from Cabrio Properties to WestPac Communities. Maybe issues similar to this one are better now, however I highly doubt it, since the leasing office staff are still the same. Since this issue happened at the beginning of my lease, from then on, the office staff were extremely rude and whenever I had a concern later into my lease, even unrelated to maintenance, I would just be treated as a problematic tenant. It was a total flip from what I experienced before. I know that many people in the community have had a good experience, and I am truly happy for those who have. When I signed my lease, I loved the modern look and feel of the apartments and the welcoming office staff was just the cherry on top! Even on my guided tours with staff, the other current residents would wave and say hello to the staff. Theres an amazing trail next to these apartments as well, that I walked daily. Not to mention the amazing restaurants nearby and within walking distance. I was so enthusiastic about the community and the office staff being so magnificent, that I even signed a 15 month lease. The majority of people in the community are nice and pleasant, keep to themselves, and enjoy Elevation Okemos. However, if you are in a situation where more significant maintenance is needed in your apartment, even if circumstances are out of your control, the Elevation Okemos staff will no longer be pleasant and welcoming towards you and will just see you as a bother.
