Budget Car Rental

I was left stranded in new Smyrna beach from Louisville Kentucky. Made a reservation through Priceline prior to catching an Uber in the pouring down rain to get there to pick up a car. The man at the counter, Bill, only had an electric car available which would not work for me. He was able to accommodate me anyways and literally saved my day. These people working in these positions take a lot from disgruntled customers, but if you treat people with respect and kindness, they will go out of their way to help you out. Thank you Bill for restoring my view of customer service. You are an amazing human.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is possibly the worst rental business ever. The girl with dreadlocks at the front desk is a vile human being. Horrible customer service, horrible manners, dumb as a rock. Went to give my credit card to transfer the rental from by brother-in-law to my name. She took the keys, said I couldn't keep the car and had me empty my belongings from their car. Was forced to take an Uber to Daytona Airport Enterprise to rent another car. When I called Budget corporate, they said they couldn't do anything as franchise owners have the discrepancy to do whatever they please. Her "boss" that she spoke to on the phone was not there but complicit in this idiocy. The girl agent has some God complex and took joy in taking my car away. She's apparently taking business courses. Wow, she will never succeed in life without people skills or an understanding of basic human decency. PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING, AVOID THIS PLACE.

Same situation also happened to me!!!!This place is joke 4 emails saying thanks your all confirmed it's good. Then the day before we get a call we don't have your truck. They called and dont even leave a voicemail. So my thought it was a scam. But I called because it was local to tell me we dont have your truck. Doesnt even offer to help out. Or find a truck. Basically said call 1800 they can help you. You also said you where going to fix this you didn't. I then call the 1800 number and they said we will get back to you within 2 hours. 4 hours later and still no call!!!!! I paid uhaul $20 more for the different price than budget quote but worth every penny to switch. Budget, word of advise, make sure you have a truck for your customer if they reserve them and if you dont have one. Help them find one!!UHAUL FOR THE WIN

This place is joke 4 emails saying thanks your all confirmed it's good. Then the day before we get a call we don't have your truck but don't worry we have one an hour away. Here's a number you can call which went to avis. So we call back he says oh it's the same company they don't know what they are doing clearly that makes two of them. You also said you where going to fix this you didn't I did by calling uhaul I advise any one reading this just call them they actually have the trucks when you reserve them and don't give you the run around. The reviews are this bad for a reason. My wifes car broke and I was going to be out of town so I got her a rental car locally. I had the reservation set up and all my wife had to do was go in and sign. When we returned the car I saw an extra $100 dollars for optional insurance I already declined when I made the reservation. I went in and asked about it. The owner of the location basically told me tough $hit she signed for it. I told them they were fn scumbags for taking advantage of a woman whos never rented a car before. The owner lost it. Flipped me off, cussed me out, threatened to fight me, and told me to get the f out of his store. I was upset because they take advantage of of people who dont know any better. He was upset because I told them they were scumbags for doing so. Avoid this place at all costs.
