image Stopped by on a trip to the area because I forgot my Apple Watch charger. I Wasnt sure where to park but there is a huge free parking lot in front for I guess employees and guests. Security at the entrance was friendly and took a photo for me. Sales people were friendly and greeted us right away and helped me find what I needed. They have Ted Lasso t shirts and apple coffee mugs that apparently you can only find at this store. Great experience.

image The Apple store was once my favorite place to visit - and the only reason I ever set foot in the Mall. That has changed. Now, I can't think of a store I hate more than Apple. Why? Because, contrasting with its once quiet and peaceful environment the Apple Store has descended into pure chaos.
Here's an example: When trading in my M1 iPad Pro for a newer M2 version, my conversation with the store rep was suddenly and rudely interrupted by another employee standing in front of the store's giant video display. With his PA cranked up to what must have been eleven, he began telling the whole store how to take and edit photos with an iPhone - something most of the store's customers already understood. However, instead of inviting the few who might be interested to join him at a quiet table where he could sell iPhones, he insisted on blasting all of us with his spiel.
In response, everyone in the store began speaking louder, in order to hear their conversations. Suddenly, the store had lost its quiet and peaceful environment. Sadly, this isn't an isolated case, because due to a thoughtless and insensitive management decision, this is now happening all the time, with various demonstrators helping Apple show off its million dollar video display and deafening PA.
I couldn't wait to leave.
So, as soon as my new iPad said 'Hello," I left.
Unfortunately, in all the confusion, the Apple Store rep failed to tell me my new iPad wouldn't be usable until it was hooked up to an Apple Keyboard. I didn't have to buy a keyboard, but I had to connect one to the iPad in order to complete its setup. I discovered this after I got home, which is over an hour away. You can't even imagine the frustration! There are simply no polite words to describe my hatred for Apple and its store!
Fortunately, I discovered Best Buy has all the Apple stuff including keyboards. Best Buy was nearby and the store's environment and service proved vastly superior to Apple. I could actually hear the store's rep speak! In just a few minutes, Best Buy's salesman had solved the problem Apple created.
I'll never buy anything at the Apple Store again.
And I have another important word of warning about Apple.
By setting up its iPad Pro in a way that forces you to try their keyboard, Apple is posing their iPad as a replacement for a laptop.
It isn't.
Why?
Because Apple has made no provision for you to back up your iPad to an external drive. You can do that with any Apple computer, including its Mac Mini. But you can't backup your iPad without connecting it to a computer or to Apple's "cloud." But what if you don't trust Apple's cloud, or work without WiFi in a remote rural location, or you don't have a computer to use for iPad backups? Yes, you can back up your iPad files one-at-a-time manually, to a USB drive, but who has time for that? In a thoughtless, and possibly criminal omission, Apple has failed to equip the iPad's iOS with Time Machine or an equivalent backup system. Apple isn't telling you this, because it wants to sell lots of iPads and keyboards and computers - and cloud space.
So, if you buy an iPad and suddenly lose all your data, don't say you weren't warned. Even with a keyboard, an iPad is not a computer, and thinking an iPad will replace your computer is a very dangerous assumption.
