Avis Car Rental

It takes an inordinately long time to physically get your car from Sky Harbor rental car center with Avis. It was too much time at the Avis desk (long line), much upsell pressure for insurance, etc. And then the line to actually get the car and the appreciable time waiting ended up being a total of TWO hours of wait. The flight from San Diego to Phoenix was half that time.

Over an hour in line at PHX to pick up the car. Had hoped for a RAV4 but got stuck with a Jeep Cherokee. Sad!! Inside of the windshield was so dirty, I had to clean it myself or drive blind in the sun ! Overall, a lousy experience!

I booked a car weeks in advance, and when I got there I had to wait in line 3 hours for my car rental. They overcharged my account by $50+ for absolutely no reason. I am convinced they do this on a regular basis because most people will not notice. I booked a standard suv, and was given a contact suv. Theyre extremely understaffed. The manager was walking around the line while we were waiting being entirely unhelpful. Would not recommend.

Well here we areagain in Phoenix as Wizard preferred members and we are waiting in line for an hour to pick up our assigned car. To check our ID? Really what a waist of time and poor service.

Would not recommend Avis. The wait was extremely long for a vehicle I booked months ago. They are understaffed because when we returned our car there was just as huge of a line.
