Budget Car Rental

When you get off the Phoenix airport train to find the budget line out the door and curled back took 1.5hr+ wait if not longer and they didnt have the car we had reserved. They gave us the option to wait longer (mind you we waited with a 1 year old), or to pay more (per day) for a different car. Budget, thanks for taking care of your customers. It really shows.

Beware of an increase in "taxes and fees" that were not part of our original reservation agreement. Very disappointed.

We arrived 2 days after the Super Bowl was over. When we arrived the said they had to find us a car because they didnt have any. After a short delay they found us a vehicle. Then when we finally made it to the spot the vehicle we were rented was a smoke detail vehicle that had a strong marijuana smell. The smell was so bad that it infiltrated our clothing, would have made us suspects for search if we had been pulled over, and was absolutely disgusting. The only reason we did not return the vehicle was because they didnt have any vehicles available following the Super Bowl and we had to get to the hotel for our meeting.

Booked a reservation 4months in advance and no cars available on the day of pickup. If this situation is normal for Phoenix, I would have appreciated an email or call to let me know the potential problem before 1am at the airport.
