Motel 6 North Olmsted, OH

Office smelled of curry during check in. Room small but clean. Bed was harder than I liked and only two pillows. Based on the vibe I got during check in did not bother to ask for more. Did not have a pronounced smoke smell for a smoking room. Smoking rooms are located in the rear of the property only. Was not busy at all yet saw at least twice police patrolling through. Had coffee available in the lobby. Rooms: small but clean.

WiFi was not reaching my room. The guys up front acted like I was lying to them and that I didnt know how to connect with my devices (tried Apple phone and Apple iPad). I said, look Im connected now, but as I get back towards my room and shut the door, it completely disconnects. Then the one guy (not Bobby) was like well you can pay the difference for a room closer and I was like the amenities said WiFi is included, but its not working back there, cant you bump to a closer room without charge or at least agree to split the difference? He said no and that its not his fault that the WiFi isnt working back there and that hes had no complaints about WiFi. He agreed to reset it and if it doesnt work, I could leave with a refund. He reset it, it didnt work, so I repacked my belongings (didnt touch anything in the room). As I was putting stuff in my car, I saw Bobby out with his phone with him saying see its working so I tell Bobby to follow me to my room, I open the door and immediately it drops to a bare signal and then I shut the door and it goes away completely. Thats when Bobby says ok, just leave, Ill refund you. He then tells me I have to call Expedia for the refund, which was fineI finally get to someone on Expedia and they say they have to call the hotel to confirmthey get on the phone and tell me they are not answeringIm like Im staring at them at the desk, please call again. I catch Bobby as hes walking out and I said please answer your phone, they are calling and he says no one called. I explain they are going to call right now, he plugs something back into the wall and stands there, he picks up the phone to prove their is a dial tone. I then said, call this number and lets see if it ringshe calls the number and it DOESNT freaking ring..,he then says I dont know what the issue is and then he jumps in a car and leavesthe only thing I CAN say is he showed me he refunded it to Expediabut I have no idea when Ill get a refund or if Ill get oneExpedia mentioned that the hotel has to tell them if it was without charge or something and I asked what that meant and the lady said, they may say its your (my) fault and not refund youso with all that, Im freaked out and have no intention of booking with a Motel 6 again unless my refund does occur as then I can feel like there was nothing malicious against me. If my refund comes through, Ill edit/delete - if not, it sticks. Rooms: Basic room. Not sure if the bed was really a Queen or not, seems closer to a double. Noteworthy details: Rude individuals up front. The guy at the front desk Bobby seemed reasonable (for 90% of the time) but the older guy at the back computer was a jerk.

This place is a joke actually. The toilet was backed up when I got in the room, so I called the front desk for assistance. I was told to come to the front desk for a plunger and fix it myself. Which I did because I already paid to stay the week and don't have the money to pay for a different hotel. Next, everything that goes on in the others rooms you hear. Very frustrating at 2am. Last I was never told what amenities are available to me during my stay and was never told where to find the ice machine or laundry areas. Basically the rude man at the front desk took my money and handed me a key for the room and that was it. For the cost of this motel, I definitely believe it should be handling the maintenance as well as informing customers what amenities are available to them during their stay. Not everyone Google's before they decide where to stay. This was an emergency stay and it was the closest to where I needed to be at the time. Rooms are clean. That's literally the only other reason besides where it's located that I would have anything nice to say about this Motel 6.

I recently stayed there and I only used the room for a hour to sleep before getting on the road, I never used the bathroom or did anything in the room besides sleep.i didnt even sleep under the cover & was charged 50$ for a deposit & once I went to check out he said Id get my money back and I still have not received it.i will be contacting everyone whos also said they didnt get their 50$ back and will be suing this place
