Their heart would never beat for your child. Once out the ER, they will never update you on the medical test conducted at their ER. Getting access to medical records is a nightmare. My child sufferred for two additional days just becuase of the delay in releasing the reports. They dont have any digital platform or channel to access your medical records. Their team should definitely learn to better communicate with the patients. The only good thing about the ER was the nursing staff (5/5), they were very curtious.

My son had a emergency yesterday in the morning he had a seizure for 20 minutes and we call an ambulance, they take him to this hospital but I try my best to stay away from this place because we always have had bad experiences here. My son have a neurological disorder and he is positive for Covid too, they didn’t do anything in there he was just seeing by a nurse that looks like she hated her job, the doctor was just watching us from a glass window he was afraid to get in. So we were there just for 2 hours after my son had a long seizure, they send us home with a prescription for seizures they didn’t run a EEG or a MRI to see if it causes some damage to his brain, also he wasn’t awake they didn’t wait for him to woke up to see if he was doing fine after the episode. I was so mad and I refused to take him home looking like that so I take him to another hospital and, they were concerned about how poorly they take cared for my son at the RWJ. People STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL they don’t care for the patients.

Staffing was amazing.. they treated my toddler like she was one of theirs.. The experience went well, making us feel so welcomed.. The admissions were prompt once we got past that process we were in and out. Answering all my questions with a proper understanding

After being referred to the ER from an Urgent Care clinic, I took my 6-year-old son to a different ER where we sat for 45 minutes without any update on how long the wait would be (after the Urgent Care doctor said that, for this issue, an ER should take him to the back immediately). We left that ER, drove to RWJ New Brunswick. Within two minutes he was in triage, and he was in the sonogram room within 30 minutes of arriving at the hospital. Thank goodness it turned out to be minor, but I cannot thank the whole team at this pediatric ER for treating my son so efficiently and helpfully with care and communication.
