Avis Car Rental

I chose this location for visiting family rather than dealing with the rental chaos at Sky Harbor. It's close to Scottsdale Airport, too. I reserved the manager's special, which can be a crapshoot, but got a nice Dodge Challenger. The staff were very nice and prompt. I was in and out within a few minutes for pick up and drop off. Stress free car rental, the way it should be.

Avis/budget Scottsdale location Unethical business practices! DONT sign any paperwork till you see the car you reserved DONT sign any paperwork till you inspect the car DONT sign any paperwork till you verify the vehicle is what you have reserved Arrived at Avis/Budget location Rachael asked me for my ID credit card insurance, i sign all paperwork and she walk me back door, here is your car, all the way on back parking but it was not FULL size, that what we got left she said...bye, door slammed, car was all the way back big lot (Im handicap officially by AZ MVD ) the car was compact suv dirty looked like just came back from off road adventure. So I pulled up front door and told Rachael the car is too small for my teenage boys who are as tall as me they dont fit in the small back seat that what we got left she said.. but I reserved full size I will try I told her. After arriving home no way the boys will fit normally so I called and was told to bring the car back so I did and asked her to wait Im on the way ok no worries she said just park the car on back and drop key fob in box by door if Im not there on my way I asked if she can wait few minutes after closing. Nobody was waiting 6 minutes after closing Nobody call me next day. And I got charged 71$ for car I couldnt use and have for 45 minutes . So much for California family vacation!!! We ended taking my wifes car instead, talking about stress and misinformation!!! This businesses need some annual training how to deal with customers and be ethical, after I did all paperwork was faced with this is what we got left not what you reserve. ( No sorry nor nothing ). Car should be up front clean and ready ,so I dont have to ask for windex to clean windows for how much we pay these days. Thanks to Costco Travel for looking in this at with Avis, see what happens with my refund Thanks Costco not so much Avis .

We popped in because we had a problem with the car we received at LAX. The staff was super friendly and we left with a upgraded car. Itwas our Xmas present from them for compensating us.

Rented a car on Dec 1st 2023. Reservation 374516424. 45 minutes into the rental the Chevy broke down and wouldn't move. I called Avis for a tow and from that point it took 4 hours of hassle to get a replacement vehicle at the airport branch( being that this branch closes so early ) Did I get any discount or apology? No! They had the nerve to charge a One way Fee After waiting around 2 hours in the airport garage I finally got a replacement. I called customer service and they tell me it doesn't matter the replacement came from the airport they should have told me to return it to the hotel location..but they'd didn't and it doesn't say that on the papers. They cared less about missing an entire day of travel and their disorganization at the airport causing me to wait for a car that wasn't actually there. Big hassle. I evwn returned the car full of gas too and took a but they still charged me for fuel. Worst customer service and I asked for a supervisor and apparently none exist
