    BE AWARE WaFd has this policy that they move your payments into a “unassigned” status where the money stays there instead to go to your mortgage or your escrow as you intended. Part of the problem is that the app does not have a “instructions box” where you can write why you are making this payment. On July 28 I made my mortgage payment as usual and told the bank as always by an email and despite these precautions they put my money on the “unassigned” place. Never contacted me about it. Never asked why I sent this regular payment. This situation merits to lower my rating to ONE star. Finally, WaFd added an app where I can make my mortgage payments and when I was not able to get in someone answered the phone and solve my issue. The low rating is because they still paying the wrong insurance company. WaFd says the payments go automatic when the insurance companies bill them and no one reviews these payments. So I still have an issue with a double payment made to my Insurance company. The escrow statement clearly shows this but is no way to solve the issue with WaFd. The insurance company says it did not receive extra payment. The other reason for the low rating is the fees. A whopping $91.44 fee last month and a $10 fee to do a one-day transfer free for a two-day transfer. Banks make billions of dollars in fees from customers!!! Soon or later people will stop using banks as we know them for this reason and will be a happy day for everyone. Fees are a very predatory way to do business and create customer resentment and two stars reviews. Many weeks passed by and no one from the bank has contacted me regarding the missing $974 from my escrow account. I sent another email today hoping will be the right answer this time.
