They use a horrible 3rd party company to run your back ground called Rent Grow they produce inaccurate information to the apartment and when you try to talk to the manager and show proof the information is incorrect she will refer you back to rent grow to dispute and they dont even look at the information you provided they denie you look at rent grow reviews horrible and this place uses them. You will never get approved

One of the Badest consumer service ever had in United States. Please please whoever planning to move here please take their words in return agreement because this people doesnt provide the maintenance services at all if you put a maintenance ticket no body comes to fix it unless you go the office and tell them.They charge you for all the thing but very very poor at maintenance.I will not ever recommend to any body to move in avery park.It is the one of the worst decisions that i took by renting in avery park.

The process of the application was a nightmare. I am a US veteran and the way how I was treated was like I was a criminal. I visited the apartment before I deployed because I was getting out of service after my deployment. I was going to go to UMD and wanted to be nearby. I am finally discharged from the Armed Forces and started my application. They didn't solely take the (reliable) money coming from the VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) which is a government entity. Money that is reliable and consistent. Which is fine... So I put down my mom, who is a business owner. Which brings in more than enough money to cover any expense. And the nightmares started from there. Keep in mind, that we both have credit scores of over 800, great financial history, own multiple assets, etc. They wanted to bring in auditors to look over my mom's business which is weird and very unusual. And every time I came into the office I was treated like a criminal. I felt very unappreciated and if I didn't want to be there, they didn't care. I never dealt with a situation like this before because any landlord/property manager would love to have a tenant like myself. I understand there's a process but they refuse to see the human element of things. And especially how they didn't give preferential treatment to veterans and essentially spit on my face when I was pushing back against them trying to dive into my mom's business. I don't understand why I would have some ulterior motive. I came to the apartment months before finally revisiting to apply. I wanted to check the place out right before I deployed and liked it initially. They even remembered me! But when it came down to it, they were not understanding of my circumstance and demanded I do it their way or the highway... Anyway, I was finally accepted in the end but this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and found somewhere else to stay. Don't go here if you're a veteran, student, or business owner. I feel like they don't want financially responsible people. They want to prey upon those who are ignorant, irresponsible, etc. Which I think is doing a disservice to this community.
