Alamo Rent A Car

We rented a 4wd Jeep Wrangler on the island of Molokai. The two-door that we reserved was not available, so we were upgraded to the 4-door version at no additional cost. The car was clean and just what we needed for our couple days on the island.

What a great way to start and end our trip to Molokai! Amazing people work for this company and live on the Island. Respect the locals and take care of their land and they will show you the same respect back.

It went very smoothly and the price is within expected range (~150 per day). It seems to be the only rental agency near MKK.

The only major rental agency on Molokai so it's absolutely the best on the island. You also really need to rental a car on Molokai in order to get around- transportation options are extremely limited. While still in the pandemic, our car was the the most expensive rental we've ever seen. Excellent customer service for both pick up and drop off- helpful and friendly. Very few people traveling to Molokai at this time so their lot was full of available cars yet the rental cost was amazingly high. It's understandable that rental agencies need to make up for tremendous losses from the pandemic shutdowns and it's acceptable to pay more in exchange to keep rental agencies from going bankrupt. That said we hope rental prices find a more affordable price point, in the future, sooner rather than later. Even with the extreme cost, cheers to Alamo that has stayed committed to provide rentals for an extremely limited market.
