Reverend Edgar J. Helms founded Goodwill Industries International in 1902. He launched the nonprofit in Boston, but this iconic organization is now headquartered in Rockville, Md.
Goodwill stores serve their communities in more ways than a hypothetical citizen might imagine. For example, all locations are open to the general public. Each Goodwill is a thrift store. It's a smart stop for any bargain hunter, no matter one's current situation.
