I love this bank. Everyone is so helpful, especially Gloria. She has gone above and beyond on countless occasions. I switched to First Republic years ago and later on, when I began managing my dad's finances, I moved his account to First Republic. I hadn't planned to do so, but the customer service at his credit union was equal to what you get at a big bank.A couple years later, he passed away and a few weeks after that I had major surgery. I was completely overwhelmed and Gloria helped me deal with his account and some complications that had come up (not due to First Republic) and I'll forever be grateful.I've experienced good customer service at all of First Republic's branches, but our neighborhood branch is my favorite and a huge part of that is due to Gloria.

We were blown away with the service Jiao Jiao provided us. Had to go to the branch during the pandemic with a newborn twice, Jiao Jiao assisted me both times, she is very nice, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Could have not asked for a better experience, the security gentleman, Richard was also very helpful. Thank you very much Jiao Jiao for this exemplary service.

Went to have our trust notarized by Gloria Lai. The minute she verbalized we knew it wasn't going to be a stress free experience. She said "Had I known you needed 6 documents notarized I would've sent you a mobile notary". "I haven't had my lunch yet". I thought I was hearing things as I was appalled. She was the one who set the meeting time and it was 3:00. Then she said "If a customer walks in I need you to return another day as I have to service that customer". Seriously, when does a bank rep not complete the transaction with the customer who made an appointment?  When does a bank rep leave a customer "hanging" to take a walk in?  She also said "I can't have my two colleagues witness the doc for you. They are very busy". There was only one customer who walked in but quickly left and the office was empty of customers. It was clear she resented us and we were bothering her precious time.  Hope her boss puts her on notice. She deserves a negative review. She gives the bank a poor image as I always get good customer service at the Geary branch. They always complete the transaction with the customer no matter how many customers are sitting in the lobby waiting to be serviced. She needs to be retrained on customer service and people skills.
