Takes years to get repairs done, constantly new management teams that blame issues on last team. Price constantly increases while the building itself falls further to disrepair. Better off at any other complex in town. Also what they advertise for rates online wont be honored when you come in.

This is Apartments complex is horrible: Dirty, Smelly and Nasty. I asked to be transferred out my initial unit because of the neighborhood under me who kept me up all night with yelling. They moved me out that unit to A Dirty and Dusty unit, when I toured it before the transfer; I seen how Dirty it was and they said a "cleaning crew" would clean unit before I moved in ( (which would only be 3 days before move in) : They lied!!!!dusty floor,vents spider webs . Maybe I should bring a newscast or health department in. They never answer the phone but I'll make visit downstairs on my free time.

New update: its been 5 months since Ive moved out and I never recieved my security deposit. Despite a long email chain showing proof of payment and multiple phone calls, the apartment eventually ghosted me and never repaid me.
All negative reviews are accurate and I would not recommend anyone live here. Water and AC regularly got turned off for "maintenance." The AC was turned off without notice or mention from November to April, so it got to 80 degrees inside the apartments. The wifi regularly goes out if you work from home. Trash is scattered in the hallways and we had a cockroach issue while I was there. Also they will refuse to give you your security deposit back. Stay away from this complex.

Older building with character! I would highly recommend el Cortez! Great location and the new management is much better than the past! If you want shiny and new, its probably not for you. But if you want cozy and friendly I would highly recommend el Cortez!

Nov update: el Cortez Did send me a check for $75 when I left the complex. BUT I signed a paper with them that had $125 no $75. After contacting them thats when all this started. They have my contact info and never reached to me but I called them MANY times.
September Update: no answer from anyone or any answer regarding my deposit. They have changed management AGAIN!
Update: I left on march and its July and I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY DEPOSIT BACK.
They sent me what they want it and not what I was supposed to get.
BEWARE, they dont pay back deposits. Its been 4+ months since I left the complex and havent received my deposit back. It takes 10+ calls for you to reach management and it wont be the right person. Theyll tell you to call again. When am I getting my deposit back?!??
DO not move to this apartments. There are so many better for the same price. This building has so many issues. Every month they cut services. Save money and mental health.
