Budget Car Rental

I booked a rental car online and my credit card was charged. I arrived before they closed and the woman told me that they had no cars available, and their computers were already shut down for the night because they closed in a few minutes. I had to take a Lyft to this location because my car is getting work done on it. Now I have to take another Lyft to another rental car place thats another 10 miles away because everything else is closed. What the hell kind of business shuts down their computers BEFORE THEY CLOSE?!? If youre open, youre OPEN. Shut down the damn computers AFTER you CLOSE.

All of these negative reviews are very true so pay close attention. I'm only reiterating what others have said previously in reviews. If I could give this place no stars I would. First, Amy, the customer service representative who works at the desk is an unprofessional shrew. She will stand there and never answer the phone. She has zero customer service skills which has been mentioned in other reviews. Second, this place will tell you it has no cars available on a regular basis to upsale you and/or justify additional charges on the back end. Third Amy will completely lie to your face and be dishonest with billing and charges if you ask questions. Fourth, watch your time, because if you are a few minutes early to pick up your car and most people are, Amy will add charges to your bill instead of saying just wait a minute. Amy has been trained well by this company to be unethical and dishonest and will look at you like a sack of potatoes when you confront her. If you want to avoid poor customer service, extra fees, and unethical behavior, TAKE THESE multiple NEGATIVE REVIEWS SERIOUSLY. Assume that the positive ones are fabricated or that Amy has been trained to occasionally let one or two persons slip through the cracks without problems to "camouflage" the horrible practices and victimization. Hope this review helps someone avoid this awful experience. To be clear, I'm speaking of the battlefield blvd Chesapeake location. Avis/Budget. To follow up with the above, the company did adjust my bill in response to the above when I called to complain which is worth something, for this I will change my initial rating from one to three stars, but I will say that I'm inclined not to go to this particular location again.

Amy got me turned around and in the rental within 10 mins flat. Great service! Was NOT BUDGET, but an AVIS rental. [Both agencies share an office, but Google Maps did not give me the option]
