Not what I expected from a Rosewood. Its historical and the outside looked it. No lobby bar, only one restaurant. Bar requires a $75 minimum charge per person even for hotel guests which is ridiculous. One person drinks and two dont so the drinker needs to drink up $225. The restaurant was fine, menu was limited, the food was good but the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday nights so literally no restaurant on property open at all 2 nights a week. At $1500 per night, I expected a lot more

My visit to the Rosewood Mansion left me profoundly disappointed and dismayed. Despite the absence of any official policy against photography, the staff, led by manager Tim Treuting, adamantly enforced a no-photos rule. This was particularly disheartening as the photos were meant for a prom event and would have taken no longer than 30 minutes. The discriminatory attitude exhibited by the staff, singling us out because we were not staying guests, was deeply troubling. Their condescending tone implied that we were unworthy of preserving our precious memories, tarnishing what should have been a delightful experience. Such behavior is entirely inappropriate in the hospitality industry and has left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a memorable outing.

I do not usually leave reviews but Im writing this to give a good and honest opinion. This absolutely should not be considered a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in several hotels across the country and this is far from 5 star. I have stayed in 5 star hotels for a third of the price that were tremendously nicer. First of all, the decor and rooms are like a standard hotel room with just more decor (dated), books, and a balcony. The night before I was here I stayed at a double tree in that was considerably nicer for $200. I just cant believe how much they charge for this. Second, room service food is a let down. Do not order the charcuterie- there is literally a cube of something that smells and looks like cat food and hardly anything on the tray for $26. Third, one of the reasons we booked it is because we had our children with us and I saw they had a great courtyard that the kids could run around on there was needles, broken glass, and trash littered all over the courtyard. And its not like we were there right after a weekend wedding. We were there on a Wednesday. Its not a good look from a proclaimed 5 star hotel and I was very disappointed. Lastly, our truck came back from valet scuffed up pretty good on one side The only saving grace is the restaurant in the hotel is an absolute 10/10. But you dont need to spent $1000+ a night to experience that. The staff of course is nice but staff unfortunately will never be enough to justify the price and rating. My two star rating is generous. We will not be staying here again.
