Budget Car Rental

This is the third time in the past year we have tried to return a rental to the 142 31st Street NY, NY Budget location only to find that without notice they were closed HOURS before they were supposed to be. (We arrived at 11am and their posted closing time is 3pm). We received NO notice - no text, no email, no call (like any normal business would offer their customers). There was only a piece of paper taped on the door with a cursory messaged about being "closed for systems problems" and offering 2 alternative return sites. We went to the closest site which with traffic in Manhattan took 45 MORE minutes. My husband had surgery this morning and not only did this delay our arrival home, but we also had to walk over a mile to our house as there were no cabs or Ubers available. I travel significantly for business, and I will NEVER use Budget again. I am also contacting the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Trip Advisor, and any other public platform I can think of to share the horrendous way your business treats its customers.

They gave me a dirty vehicle they only threw water in it but it was clearly dirty in and out i was very disappointed

Worst experience with the rude garage manager. I rented a car and before returning in the morning, after heavy snow, I was so lucky to find someone in the street to lend me a snow wiper so I could clean the windows and return the car on time. There was nothing in the trunk or anywhere inside the car. I should the one who was mad, however upon returning I had to hear rhis guy complaining how I didnt wipe off the snow. I told him there was nothing in the car and he insisted that all cars have the tool. After he looked at it, and not finding one as he didnt have anything to say, not even sorry, he started conplaining about my garbage ( 1 vitamin water bottle and some candy wrappers) that I was already cleaning when he came, and that I didnt clean before just because I was almost late to return the car, trying to find someone who could lend me something to clean the snow from my window . Terrible staffing, will never get back.

I picked up a car on January 6th, and the lady at the pickup location was super nice and helpful. She found a replacement for our minivan, and we instead got a new full-sized SUV. A small minus is that the vehicle inside was not really clean.
