Wyndham

The resort & rooms were beautiful except for the awfully soft beds - it's perfect if you like backaches or are under 10 y.o.! I have no issues with the resort itself; location is great/beautiful, free parking & shuttle to strip etc); no additional resort fees (although hotel price is already high); no casino; allowed a 30 min early check in. Staying on the same side of I-15 (to meeting) made it easy to commute and avoid strip traffic and awful walking paths). Need a car to get around if you don't plan on going to the strip. The bad: same Wyndham issues as always - they ALWAYS want to sell/upgrade you a timeshare - AVOID LIKE HELL! Customer service is non-existent in spite of huge fees - they messed up my initial booking; called to try to fix it to no avail. Called resort - they could do nothing - as customary with wyndham passed buck around a few times. 40 minutes later the first Customer rep coughed & hung up on me (whatever!!). 2nd rep was actually good but could nothing to help due to wyndham's lack/willingness to help policies...

Nice escape from the traditional casino hotel where it tends to be smoky and noisy. The rooms are clean and well appointed.

Love staying at the desert blue. They have great rooms and a lot of on site things to do. The pool is nice and the food is good. There are no stores or restaurants within waking distance, though, but they do offer a shuttle service. Rooms: Newer resort rooms designed for families or groups. The units are fully equipped with kitchens and all the cookware, washer, and dryer, and most rooms have a good view of Vegas. Walkability: Not very walkable, but they do offer shuttle to the strip and to a grocery store in a plaza area.
