Residence Inn by Marriott Las Vegas South

Stayed at this property on our way to the Rose Bowl. It was very busy because of another Bowl Game taking place a block away. The front desk staff were friendly, competent and professional in a somewhat chaotic lobby atmosphere. Our room was ready and clean. We struggled to get our TV to work and one of the gentlemen from the front desk came to assist us. His name was Damion and he was kind, professional and helpful. We were able to get the TV to work. When I went to tip him for his help, he refused and said our satisfaction was what was important. I learned that they were short staffed, that he had already worked a 12 hour day and he stayed late to assist us. In this strange time of employee shortages, it was nice to see the culture of professionalism at this particular site. I would recommend this property if you are in the Vegas area. Close to the airport. Close to the strip.

It's a Residence Inn so one is not expecting luxury. I think they did just enough in these rooms for things to photograph well. Upon entering the room you immediately realize it's pretty dated overall. The kitchen is the only thing that looks decent. The bathrooms are likely late 90s early 2000s. There was a huge stain on the ceiling in the bath that was obviously old. The carpet felt older, vanities, tub hardware etc did as well. The pictures fooled me on this one. Customer service was ok. The room wasn't disgusting, but you can tell they do the minimum regarding esthetics. Wouldn't be excited to stay here again.
