Huntington Bank

Been banking with Huntington for years now. They’re the best bank out there. Closet thing to a credit union, but still have the technology similar to the bigger banks and this most small business friendly. They’ve helped me tremendously with various business and personal loans, lines of credit, credit cards and overall banking. As soon as I heard they took Chase’s spot in Meijer years ago, I was very happy. They’re conveniently located by my office and home and have great hours along with being open 6 days a week. The staff at this particular branch has always been helpful and nice. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who would like more options than a credit union, sick of the big banks taking advantage of you or either of their crummy banker hours, give Huntington a shot! You won’t be disappointed!

Terrible customer service and unknowledgeable. I called to obtain information regarding a power of attorney to authorize my daughter to make a wire transfer for the purchase of a property. I explained that I’m out of town and the rep kept saying that we can wire to out of state accounts if the recipient has a bank account. I explained about 3 times to her what I needed and I want to know what type of POA I need because I’ve done it for Chase Bank and they were specific in the type. She then asked if we have cash app,Venmo, or zellepay which makes no sense for the purchase of a property. I told her that it’s over 100k and she said “oh no that wouldn’t work”. They didn’t answer any of my questions and when I asked to speak to someone else, she said it was because there’s people in the background when really she just didn’t understand. Finally I spoke to someone else and she said “huh?” I said it’s fine, I’ll call another branch. And she said it was because there’s people in the background when really she just didn’t understand. Completely clueless bankers inside or Huntington Bank at Meijer. I’m not sure how they satisfied any type of training to work in a bank and not understand the scope of wiring for a real estate transaction.
