My wife and I were excited about checking out some of the bourbon distilleries so we decided to stay downtown. The Grady was almost double the rate at most hotels but we decided to book with them because it looked like a step up from the rest. Boy was I wrong. The level of service we got from the moment we walked it the door made it very clear. There was no valet at the front door so we decided to carry all of our bags in while drooping some of them trying to get in the front door. The front desk guy was nice but never offered to help or get someone but what ever, lets make the best out of it. trying to sleep was not easy at all. The doors had nothing to prevent sound from being so harsh in the middle of the night and the outside sound was also very loud at times. My bed was collapsed in the middle side and leaned like a boat making U-turn. the shower had a leak at the bottom of the door so the floor was soaked after every show. Now they have my attention. The night staff is way different. You are not greeted when coming in and I felt like more of an inconvenience then anything. I walked in the door on a rainy night asking where the valet is and the front deck girl was on her phone (playing a game) sitting in front of the fireplace and didn't even answer me. This termed out to be the norm with this particular young lady. I started noticing things at this point. something as simple as a spill trail of coffee from the front door all the way down the hallway that stayed there the rest of the time. The downstairs restroom was never cleaned having the same food stuck to the sink for days. The hotel it's self is beautiful and the designer did an amazing job. attached photo is the front desk and valet on night shift. I would like to point out a couple positives. The bartender is very talented and and would do amazing anywhere. The restaurant staff was also great and one valet older gentleman was very nice. I travel quite a bit and stay a very nice places. This hotel has potential but it starts at the top. The Manager should be aware of the issues and they should never get to this point. If only they all had the passion of the bartender! Nearby activities: Bars and museums Walkability: close proximity to everything.

From the moment you arrive the experience is amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Had breakfast in the hotel and it was good with great service as well. Bar area looked cool but we did not get a drink. Learned that street parking is not monitored from 6pm to 7am. So with the Park Mobile App you can park cheaply right by the hotel instead of paying $40 for daily valet parking. The only negative was the sound of people walking in the room above us. Not sure if this was unique to our room or affects other rooms. Luckily we carry a sound machine which drowns out the sounds. We loved the property. The lobby fireplace was a bonus.

Really nice staff. Good restaurant. Our favorite meal. Rooms: Roomy but poorly appointed. One drawer. No place to store luggage. Large bathroom but only one towel hook and its way away from the shower door.

A gem of a boutique Hotel. Wonderful service from the start. Thomas Landry met us from our car and was very friendly and informative and took us and our liggage to our room. The rooms are lovely with very big bathrooms - sockets are at the side of the headboard. The Decor and artwork are impressive throughout. And dont miss out on the Cocktails in the Swan bar/restaurant.
