My 84 year old mom was on the seller side of his inspection. His inspection found mold all over crawl space and attic. Mom was on the hook for $10,000 to fix this , so she tried to use her insurance to cover some of it. Insurance used a forensic engineer to re-investigate. They found mold in crawl space but NO mold in attic, plus they would not cover it. In short Mom lost an extra $10,000 to make the closing happen due to Mark Oerther Associates faulty inspection. Good for buyer but deceptive and BAD for seller!!

Mark did a home inspection on a house I'm looking at, I was unable to be there for the inspection which worried me but he did a very thorough job on the report. He was also available to go over any questions or concerns with me in detail to ensure I understood all the issues that were present. I would recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection.

Mark and his team are fantastic. I've used them twice recently, and everyone in my extended family uses him whenever they purchase a home. I can't speak to the other review(which I disbelieve), but each and every experience I've had with Mark Oerther & Associates has exceeded expectations. He is courteous and professional, but more importantly, is extremely thorough. As someone who knows little of construction and/or proper building standards, without Mark and his team, I most certainty would have saddled myself with a defective home. I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

A negative Google post was discovered today and brought to our attention. Mr. Turner states he had a terrible experience with our company and we were not professional, organized or dependable.
Our records indicate Mr. Turner had scheduled a home inspection with our company for 08/06/13 at 8:30 A.M. It is our policy to email the home inspection agreement along with a copy of the ASHI standards of practice. The client has the opportunity to review all materials and they receive written confirmation of the scheduled date and time of the home inspection. The email clearly states they have a choice to sign the contract and return it after review or they may choose to sign on site at the home inspection. It also states the contract is to be signed and returned if they are unable to attend the home inspection. This information was emailed to Mr. Turner 7 days in advance on 07/30/13. On the agreed scheduled day we arrived on time for the inspection and Mr. Turner did not show up for the inspection. Numerous attempts were made by myself as well as the seller’s representative. Everyone was unsuccessful at reaching Mr. Turner. Mr. Turner did return the call after we left the inspection site en route to our next scheduled appointment. He was upset we left the inspection site and would not return or reschedule. We realize unavoidable circumstance can sometimes prohibit arriving on time, however he stated he was on vacation and never planned to attend and did not return a signed agreement. He stated he was unaware he needed to return a signed agreement before a home inspection can begin although he did state he received the information in advance.
