My mother-in-law just went into this store to open up a new Verizon account and get her first ever Smart phone. She was so excited.
The associate said they needed to see her Social Security card. This does not smell right to me. She has almost perfect credit, and they wanted to photocopy and fax her Social Security number!!! Um, sorry, no dice.

@Mike- I had to give my Social Security number to Best Buy when I went there for a phone. Not sure why they do it, but it is common.
The store is well-stocked and the employees answer questions very thoroughly. Just got a great bluetooth headset, and and their version of the GoPro camera is awesome. The radio Shack brand is as good or better than a lot of name brands. I hope they don't go out of business like so many stores.

Great store and employees. Respectful and courteous people. And most importantly very knowledgeable on all products. Will definitely go back.
