Went in to make a cash deposit with my grandmothers account #, name and address. 3 hours later my grandmother goes to her branch to withdraw money and they state there was no deposit made. I have a confirmed receipt with transaction #, last 4 of the account # and amount deposited. I call this location (where I made the deposit) and explain what happened and the lady was short spoken with her responses. Basically wanted to keep it at “unfortunately our systems are down right now.” Eventually after my continuous questioning, she stated “the transaction didn’t go through bc our computer was offline” I asked why I have a confirmation that it did go through and demanded to know where the money was. she then said “ok, it’s in her account now. I didn’t look at the bottom of my screen to see it said “offline” ...WHAT!?!...how are these people able to be in charge of managing peoples money and accounts when they can’t even properly look at their computer screen to see none of the deposits are actually being made. Had I not kept my deposit receipt and followed up, where would that cash actually have gone? Their pockets possibly

They would not cash their own starter check, that was used by a frugal person who didn't order regular checks! How is this legal with a legit account number and routing number ?!
