I too trained under Master Fitzgerald. He is a amazing instructor. I trained under him for about 3-5 years in my younger days. I made it all the way to a red belt with 3 stripes before i moved out of the Hyde park area. Mr. Fitzgerald is a great instructor. If it wasn't for this man shaping me while i was young i probably wouldn't be the person i am today.

My daughter began taking martial arts with Master Fitzgerald at the age of 4 and a half which was 2 and a half years ago. She has gained so many things while taking the art of tang soo do; strength and endurance, agility and leadership. She is now almost 7, and we relocated to another state. This past summer was our last there, and she misses it terribly! She missed her instructors and the friends that she made.
While the facility is in need of some TCL, the amount of attention, the instruction and the programs are par-excellence and make up for the lack of "shiny newness" other facilities have.
Master Fitzgerald and all of the instructors are amazing! If you looking for a great studio with top-notch instruction, this is place for you or your children!

My son has been attending for 3 months now. Yes, Mr. Fitzgerald is authoritative with the children....and he is respected. This is martial arts not a pep squad or PTA, meaning the parents who made comments regarding his teaching style are being sensitive and have children who will never excel on any sports team. The world will not pacify our children as adults so they must learn how to follow dirx and respond to those in authority. What I love about the class is it is diverse and Mr. Fitzgerald's schedule is highly flexible. We may come M, W, F one week and then T,Th,Sat the next week depending on my schedule. So you dont have to stress about missing a day. He allows the new student to try his classes a few weeks for free before admitting them as beginners. The children are taught basic moves, forms, concept so there isn't any aggressive contact in the beginning. This was the perfect intro to the art form for my 6yr old. I appreciated this...we knew for sure he was interested before signing anything. During the free classes there were about 2 other students in class but once you join a regular class your child will be among 8-15 other students on a regular basis. Last, the facility is safe....it smells like feet... but it is safe. Some idiots shouldn't be so clumsy. My son loves it.
