I trained at Goytias a few years back. If you want affordable hands on self defense and martial arts instruction, I can't think of a better place. Instructor Joe Goytia is one of the best in the field of self defense and MMA.

(indepth review) Feeling desperate to lose weight and gain discipline, a friend of mine recommended this place. The trainers were nice enough to let me try one class for free to get a feel of things. After the class I was absolutely dead. I was tired. Exhausted. Some muscles that I didn't know I had were burning. This is a good thing. I haven't felt like this for years. Immediately I signed up for 2 years. It is difficult, yes. You will be exhausted. You will be taken out of your comfort zone. You will work muscles that you didn't think existed but I guarantee that you will feel alive and will come back for more. When you sign up you will be given two uniform shirts and a pair of boxing gloves for free. Think of this place like a streaming service. You pay a subscription and you get access to a bunch of movies and tv shows (in this case classes). You can do Boxing, kickboxing, etc etc. There are more advanced classes that you need to be approved to attend. These will have a red font. A blue font is for kids. A black font is for teens and adults. Class may go something like this: The first 10ish minutes is jogging, stretches, push ups, etc. You get a 1 minute transition period to drink some water (BRING WATER) and your gloves. You'll train, usually in pairs. This means you actually have to go up to someone and ask "Hey want to be partners?" Then after class you may do some stretches and then the fun is over. I can really feel like I am progressing and getting stronger. I have more confidence and self control. So is it worth it? Absolutely. Will it push you to your limits? Yes. edit: I still come here. Best decision I've ever made in my life. I am much more flexible than before.
