Avis Car Rental

This is our second time renting from Avis and again, we were disappointed. In all the times we have travelled and rented a car, we never had a problem. However, in both rentals with Avis, we have had issues. This second rental was with payment. The reservation was under my husband's name but my I was paying the cost with my credit card. Apparently, Avis does not allow this because the rep. at Avis in the airport insisted that I couldn't pay, that it had to be a credit card in my husband's name. I even asked if the reservation could be changed to my name, so I could pay and the rep stated, "NO!" We were not happy and had never in all the years of traveling and renting a car did we ever experience this. This disappointed us extremely for this reason we would not recommend Avis to friends or family.

Rented a Suburban to have room for 8 people only to discover this particular Suburban only seats 7. The middle row was not a bench seat. I was to far from home, two+ hours away picking up family from a cruise, to simply return for a different vehicle. When I returned the vehicle the agent acted like he just didn't care. I will stick with Enterprise from now on.

I finally found a car to rent at Avis, in Fort Myers, after having tried several agencies, and Also the Fort Myers International Airport! The staff person was extremely helpful and in no time at all, she had a Nissan Sentra for me, which I had driven before and was so pleased. This was the first time that I went to Avis in the Edison Mall and I, most definitely, will continue to rent from them when the need arises. Ruth I.
