-The vehicle was quite dirty when we picked it up, there were used paper cups and paper towels and sand and no staff in the parking lot to come in and clean it. Great ease and speed of obtaining the vehicle. The staff are charming and efficient at check-in.

Worst car rental of my life some lady named Onelia working the gate was so rude cussing and unprofessional she should not be in the customer service industry

Beware and check your bill. Repeatedly have been charged additional fees for services I specifically declined at the counter when renting the vehicle. I have to call back to get credited every time (eg fuel service option charge) when I specifically requested that I will return the car back with a full tank of gas. Was also told that I returned a car with a flat tire and got a separate email stating that I will be charged a replacement tire fee. After my repeated issues with being charged for something we did not do or request from Avis, I always take a few pictures of the vehicle when I return it. I requested that a timestamped photo be shared with me proving the tire was flat upon return and Avis credited me back the charge as they could not provide evidence. Beware when renting from Avis.

I had a car rental for 6 weeks at Avis Miami Airport. Not to mention the long lines and 1 hour waits to pickup the car, I received a vehicle (Chevy Malibu), and it locked me out of the car 1 minute after receiving it. It was 1 am and I had to all my travel baggage and personal belongings inside the car, even my phone. The car was started and the keys were inside, and it locked me out while I was getting my glasses from my luggage in the trunk. I went right away for help and all I got from the desk was "that sucks man and I don't know what to tell you" responses, even suggesting waiting until the morning by my car, as there are no spare keys and no staff to attempt to help me. If it wasn't for a nice gentleman who let me borrow his phone, to call roadside assistance, I would have stayed by my car until the morning. Roadside Assistance managed to find me in the garage and perform the lockout procedure, and I was still charged for the service even though my rental car has not left their garage. I usually do not write reviews but this experience was a nightmare, especially after long travels and having work the next morning.
