The teller said the actual full dollar amount of the check being deposited over the speaker in the drive through while I had employees in the vehicle! That kind of private information should not be publicly announced. Very unprofessional. Privacy training or common sense is lacking.
Updated: So it's been a few months since I wrote this review and I'm sure that this got relayed to the staff and customer service has just been absolutely Beyond terrible! I'd say non-existent. To the point where they skip me in line and act like I'm not in the drive thru. No thank you, no have a good day not a single word of interaction from two of tellers.

I have been a customer of TCF Bank since 2014. This financial institution continues to get worse and worse. Being a long time customer makes no difference. I am a very financially responsible account holder and they reward that with continuous fees assessed to my savings account which I have since closed. And most recently, they rewarded me with placing a hold on my payroll check. I had to have a live check issued to me due to during a software conversion at work. I will be closing my checking account as soon as the hold is lifted off my payroll check! Unbelievably poor and nasty customer service who basically told me I don’t know the difference between a check and a direct deposit. I am an accounting manager and believe that I clearly know the difference. DO NOT LOOK TO TCF BANK FOR ANY OF YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS!!!!! This bank and their customer service is deplorable!!!!!

This bank is always giving out incorrect information. From how accounts work to fee structures. The online TCF experience/"features" is dated. They charge fees for simple things that almost every other bank I have seen does for free. However I do have to give credit to TCF, the easiest task to successfully complete the first time was closing the accounts and having a check issued for the remaining balance.

Just curious how is someone that works 60 hours a week supposed to do business if you close at 5? I'm NOT taking off 2 hours early just to do business with you guys. This is just as infuriating as when TCF closed on Sundays... hence WHY I opened an account with TCF in the first place as I work so much, it was GREAT to be able to do business on Sundays. Depending on how long this "temporary hours" last will determine if I continue to bank at TCF. This is an issue with the company, not this location specifically.
