        I had a rental set up. I went to pick it up and due to me updating my license from a class B to a class C license the DMV had to keep the license. BUDGET refused to rent to me and after asking for a ride they turned me down Budget has lost a long time customer. I use rentals 5 to 6 times a year.

        My car was giving me trouble on the way to work. Dropped it off to be repaired. Then I went to Budget in Santa Maria to rent a car so that I could get to work. They came through. They were able to provide me a car at a moment's notice. I've used Budget in Santa Maria a number of times. Never had a bad experience with them. I'm very satisfied with them. Friendly service as well.

      Hi Joel, it has always been our policy that we are unable to rent a vehicle without a picture ID with only an interim drivers license. We would need to verify your identity via a passport, etc. We are sorry for your experience and hope that you understand our position.
