Mack called an hour before arrival. He was thorough in explaining what needed to be done and what the cost would be. His work was excellent. After he finished, he explained what was done leaving me very satisfied

We returned home from out of town on a Sunday to no hot water. Water Heaters Only advertises 24/7, and lo! there was a live body on the other end of the phone. Not only that, but they dispatched Kevin West immediately. He quickly determined that our thermocouple had failed. This is the gizmo that tests for the presence of the pilot flame and shuts off the gas if the pilot goes out. No thermocouple, no gas. Since our water heater was 16 years old (and typical lifetime is ~10 years), and leakage was probably in our near future, Kevin said it would be better to replace the entire heater rather than the thermocouple. Not only that, but installation codes had changed since our heater was installed and we were way out of code. It was too late to start the job Sunday, but he arranged to be back first thing Monday. He spent the better part of the day removing the old heater, bringing the area up to code, and installing and testing the new heater. We now have hot water again, yay! In addition to doing a great job, we both love to talk, so we had a grand chat as well. That's how I learned that he's been doing this for 40 years, and that this year was exactly 40 years since he changed out his first water heater. The experience showed; problems I would have found difficult to impossible, he dealt with easily. I told him I would give him ten stars if that were possible.
