image Parking continues to be an absolute nightmare. I am writing this while waiting for the tow truck. 4 cars are parked (not in spots) and two other cars besides mine are waiting for the tow truck. When I called the tow company, they said I was the 4th call in 10 minutes and advised I just get home sooner. This is not acceptable, especially when parking spots are charged by the month. This is the 4th day in a row this week Ive had to wait for parking. The tow company expressed that they rarely tow someone without a decalthis is a case of management providing decals to both shelter and non-sheltered parking so those with sheltered parking can park in non-sheltered spots, but not the other way around.
Smoke coming through units continues to be an issue, even with an air purifier. It's a health hazard, plain and simple.
On 3/18/2024, manager SN sent a Notice of Entry e-mail exactly 1 hour & 16 minutes prior to expected entry. This is an absolute violation of Florida Statute 83.53(2) which defines reasonable notice as 12 hours prior to entering. Again, completely unacceptable. I had left for the day already and was not given an opportunity to stow away personal items and valuables. I e-mailed back almost immediately, but never received a response.
Management are friendly, but are preoccupied with making social media posts (often not of the actual apartment by the way) to get new tenants, rather than fixing the things that would make people already living here want to re-sign their lease. Management will promote 'events,' but 3+ times they have fallen through due to 'unforeseen circumstances' (or more likely, lack of planning).
I moved in August 2023--only at the end of February were the amenities starting to become available; most of my lease was without.
Construction (of their sister property) directly across the street is not only a noise disturbance (starting sometimes before 7:00am and continuing into the evening), even on Saturdays, but has been blocking the flow of traffic directly in front of the complex, making it a one-way and causing detours. When someone ignores the one-way, it is not uncommon to hear honking directly outside your window at 3:00am. I wish I had done my research and known construction was happening directly across from complex--I would have strongly considered signing elsewhere.
Frequent dog poop on the sidewalks and in the grass, especially in the dumpster lot.
Dumpster is far away from the North building, again, an inconvenience.
Overall, the longer I've been here, the more issues have come up. The location is the positive, but Whitehall and UV are just as close.
