Avis Car Rental

I rented a car from atw (Appleton, Wi) through a Priceline bundle deal. The price was great! The customer service on both the rental and return was smooth. And the car was fantastic. It was clean and new. The process at ATW could not have been easier.

I was first to the counter in Appleton,WI, got my car and went to the parking lot. As soon as I sit in it, I realize he car was smoked In extremely bad. I got out of the car and went back to the counter to tell the young female agent. At this time there was about 9 people in line. When I told her the car was smoked in her response I will make note and give you a $25 discount . I told her I could not take the car it was so bad and would need another one. She told me I would have to get in line behind the 9 people because they were in line. She was so rude and this person should not be representing Avis. I never want to rent from Avis as she made the experience so negative.

I feel like a 1 star review is even giving too much credit. I reserved a rental for a 10 day trip, locked in a vehicle, locked in a price, all ready to enjoy my vacation. Then today.. I check my reservation to find that my vehicle rental has been downgraded, and I am still being charged the same price. No big deal right, maybe a simple computer error? That would have been understandable! So I figured i'd call this location, get someone on the phone who will be able to help me sort this out. Within seconds of picking up the phone, I was being talked over, disrespected, and told my now significantly smaller vehicle was going to cost the same price. Was then told to "Enjoy my holidays" in such a manner that it might as well been a FU. Absolutely terrible customer service. Its the holidays, people are using your services to enjoy time with their families, and being treated like dirt by your ignorant employees is unacceptable.
