Frank is the worst! Would not recommend for any rental needs!

** BEWARE!! - THE WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN HAMPTON ROADS!!........MOST "REAL" REVIEWS ARE "1" STAR.......ALL THE FIVE STARS YOU SEE ARE FROM THEIR EMPLOYEES AND FRIENDS!! *** PLEASE, READ BELOW!!! *** I have rented from different companies and in different cities, all of my life. But, FD Management, connected with Frank McLawhorne Realty, is the worst and all they care about is 'GETTING YOUR MONEY EVERY MONTH"!! 1. They deliberately do NOT respond to phone calls or emails unless it involves them getting their rent! 2. For the past few months, I have been freezing in one of their rental homes and it as found that the insulation in the attic is at 1/3d of what it is supposed to be and the cold air is coming down thru the walls and floor. And despite numerous emails and phone calls, in which no one ever answers, and leaving voice mails, THEY SIMPLY IGNORE YOU AND WILL NOT ANSWER EMAILS OR RETURN CALLS!.....I had to run out and buy three space heaters and, thanks to their refusal to answer my calls or emails, my electric bill has been sky high, thanks to their incompetence..........THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU......ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IN GETTING YOUR MONEY! 3. The old and broken down heat pump has leaks and won't hardly heat at all, yet they refuse to resolve it! 4. The old back side door had split in places with cracks in it and material spewing out, yet they refused to replace it, saying to take it down - Are they crazy?....Then it would look like a ghetto with substandard homes........I USED "MY MONEY", WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND PURCHASED ONE myself!.... MY NEIGHBORS HELPED ME PUT ON A NEW ONE!! 5. Took THREE MONTHS, despite numerous phone calls and emails they they never answered, to fix the loose toilet, that almost literally fell onto its sides, and to fix the cheap, paper-thin "stick-on" tiles on the bathroom floor, that amazingly, ALL "popped" back up within a few weeks.....They never came back to fix it......I took glue and did the best I could.....They are SAD and PATHETIC! 6. When I first moved here, and during my time here, "FRANK" seems to talk to you in a tone that leaves a lot to be desired in terms of being condescending and standoffish!!........I wonder if being AFRICAN AMERICAN has anything to do with it! OH! - Their "handyman" came to fix the kitchen sink, which had pipes that were installed wrong and leaking, and he made in worse and still leaks!.......On top of that, he broke the nut under the sink, that holds the spray rinse nozzle on top, and depite numerous unreturned calls and emails, NEVER came back to fix it!!! ** PLEASE, DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM FD MANAGEMENT OR "FRANK MCLAWHORNE REALTY".......VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO RENTERS!!..... AGAIN, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS "GETTING YOUR MONEY EVERY MONTH"!! GRADE = F

*The only reason they get 1 star, it's because there's no option for ZERO* We lived in a property managed by FD management for 3 years. When we initially moved in, the house was super dusty, hair in the drains, we had mice and lots of scuffs on the walls. Was told by Megan that they're only required the house to be "livable". I have pictures of everything. 3 years later, we move out and it took me calling 6 times, emailing 3 times to get a response when it came to the deposit. It took 3 months to get our deposit back. We didn't get the entire money either. They said they used $400 for carpet cleaning, which didn't bother me, other than the fact that I never received the receipt!! Once again, I called and texted twice, asking for proof. I was sent mortgage paperwork from another property by accident...the receipt was never sent. I just let it go because it took "pulling teeth" to get our deposit back as it is. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!

FD Management has offered us a really good service. The times that we needed there service to fix anything in the property, they were there the next day. Thank you so much.

I cannot begin to express how wonderful Megan has been in helping me. She has so much knowledge in taking care of my properties. I am so thankful to have met her.
