Tried to clear up some issues with transferring an IRA from another company to Fidelity. The person that talked to me made me feel like I was interrupting his real work, told me I could not initiate a transfer from within the Fidelity site; it had to start with the other company (not correct) and when I informed him that I had started the process within their site he suggested that I might have been using the practice area of the site. The only reason this location gets two stars is because it's steps away from Schwab where they told me how to organize my accounts to simplify the transfer and the entire thing could be done online with no mailed checks involved. Everything should be taken care of by the end of the week with no mailed forms, no paper checks, and no need for me to return to the office.
