La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock Southwest

We stayed here going from CO to Kerrville/Austin area, both ways. It is nicer than other La Quintas weve stayed in. Minor problems. The toilet ran all night in one of our rooms. And the curtains didnt completely close. In the other room, the light was out when you first walk into the roomlike I said, minor. Beds were very comfy. Shower was decent. No room climate issues. Breakfast was what youd expectwaggles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, fried potatoes. Didnt get a chance to use pool. Would stay here again!

Welcoming and efficient staff. Large rooms. Comfortable beds. The drains in the sink and the shower were very slow to drain.

The booking policy at this location is not the best, I was here for wildfire assignment and moved around the Panhandle. Based in Lubbock when trying to cancel and extend stay had to go through 3rd party unable to do it at the desk. I have recommended to the State travel to black list this and others of this local owners places and they have agreed and are not going to use them for anyone traveling to the Lubbock area for anyone from my home State.

Worst breakfast service ever. They run out of stuff before closing time and won't refill. For such a nice place this is the stingiest breakfast I've ever been too.

Love this place except when my 92 year old mom got ready for bed after a long day on the road and checking in here just a couple of hours before, she told me she wanted to take a shower in our mobile accessible room. When I went to bed I looked at the bench and noticed cracked tiles and metal attachment pulled out from the wall and the bench in downward position did not rest on the tub as a result making it unsafe. When I had the guy at the desk come up to inspect it he asked me when it happened again after I already explained on the phone it was like this when we arrived. No one used the mobility shower bench. But I told him again that we just got here and shower in the morning. He left without apologizing and saying he would report it. English isn't his first language and I hope we don't get charged for this by some sort of misunderstanding.
