Courtyard by Marriott Lubbock Downtown/University Area

My flight was canceled in Dallas and I had no luggage so when I arrived in Lubbock early on 3/22 I stopped at this courtyard to change into my suit but the front desk clerk said I couldn't use their bathroom to change because I wasn't a guest there. I explained that I was a guest at the courtyard in Dallas and I am an Ambassador and showed her my Bonvoy account. She snapped that it didn't matter how much I stayed at Marriott and that I needed to leave. I drove a block down the road to Residence Inn and the manager was more than happy to help. Not hating on Marriott but someone at one location needs training in customer service!

Lubbock Merriot Downtown Coffee/breakfast staff needs some training. I regularly tip 20%, but if the server acts uninterested, doesnt pay attention, or acts rude Ive stopped tipping period. Decided this over the weekend when I ordered counter service at a Merriot hotel downtown Lubbock on Sunday morning. 3/25. They were not busy, the young lady acted like I was imposing on her by placing an order. They were out of 2 menu items still listed on their menu. When I asked to order them she just said we dont have that, I ordered a bottled water and she told me to get it out of the cooler when I let her know there were no waters in the cooler she said just go to the desk and get one. She handed me my check I promptly signed with 0 tip! I am more than happy to tip for good, even decent service, but no longer supplementing the wages of servers who act like their customers are an imposition.
