River's Edge Apartments

Strange that the many bad reviews of this place over the years have disappeared.. The location by the river looks great, and the kitchen has lots of cabinets, the maintenance team is a pair of dears, and.. that's about it. In reality, the location has tankers driving by as early as 5AM that wake you up daily. The UT rowing team goes by twice a day before 7AM with a megaphone as well. Eighteen wheelers make deliveries to next door businesses all day and block the road as they pull up on the sidewalk and back into warehouses. The parking lot is littered with modified cars the kids like to rev and show off. They've been here for five years without enough parking for residents, but still nothing has been done except threatening emails to residents for parking unsafely (which they do blocking in other residents every night as well as taking handicapped spots from people who actually need them). The island home residents have become so angry with this apartment community they try to have cars towed for being in legal spots because it's taking up their guest parking. There's an auxiliary lot down the road you can park in IF you pay for a parking sticker, and then walk down the road in the dark to your apartment. The walls are paper thin here and the leasing office tells students this is a place for students, but tell families this is a quiet place for families. It's not. There have been several overdoses in their parking this year that residents had to aid because the office was oblivious. The leasing agents went from bad to worse after management change, and the lack of professionalism is disgusting. All around it's a place that has the flaws of a $800/month spot with the fresh paint they charge you $1200/month for. Avoid if you can.

When you try to talk to a leasing agent about moving and they completely disregard you that will paint a picture of the type of complex this is! We tried to stop in today to at least ask questions and were completely ignored by a man in the leasing office. I dont recommend trying to find a home here!

Rivers edge is so far the best place in one of the best area of The downtown Knox. The Ijams nature center is walking distance and they have this beautiful tennis court for any one in the home island neighborhood to play with rivers edge is included. The river is so calm any time of the day or night and we all walk and jogging and so far the pets love to be walked in the Rivers edge. Another thing if you leaving at rivers edge and you need to call maintenance be sure your ready to have the job done because after you contact Brad ( The most incredible manager) the maintenance guys going to be at your door in 5 minutes. The apartment features is so nice the master suite is big granite countertops great neighborhood. Family and young professionals. Very safe too nothing to complain about it. Im sure if you like to have downtown atmosphere you would love to leave at rivers edge.great places to eat food trucks almost every day and a lots of good place to hang out walking distance. Can go to old city have fun and walk home safe. For the ones enjoying night life. Just talking about safety. not to mention the park a lot is very organized and if dont have your parking tag in your dash you will getting a booth or towing. So if you are a resident you have your spot available and guests and roommates have the privilege to park for free at the edge of the river. Hands up for the organization of the park a lot too.

Parking for residents or guests is the worst at this facility. Guest Parking is by the river and there are NEVER any spots open for guests. If they park by the apartments they will get booted. Its ridiculous your friends and family cant even visit.
