Morford Agency: Allstate Insurance

I'd like to thank Sonia Wood for being so helpful when I was most in need of good honest advice. I have had my Home Owners Insurance with Morford Agency for over 2 decades. I decided that now would be a good time to look into consolidating my Auto Insurance with my HomeOwners Insurance. I have had to postpone speaking with her on more than one occasion. She nonetheless continued to contact me and we are now moving towards transferring my Auto to Morford!!! Thank You Sonia.

Ive had Allstate for auto and home for years and paid thousands of dollars to them. Let me start with that. I called to update my address as Ive moved from Clarksville to a rural town with a population less than 1000, so small there are literally no stop lights in the town and maybe two police officers on the payroll. Crime rate and traffic compared to Clarksville basically zero. When my new zip code was updated, my rate went up and I didnt understand why so I asked WHY is my rate going up considering what I mentioned above. When I moved to Clarksville, my rate went up because of the crime and traffic (so they said) so why is it going up again? Valid question met with well its just a rating thing. That doesnt answer my question. Im a RN and I dont answer health related questions with it just is, Im required to have an education and understand my career, be professional and provide explanations or find someone who can. I understand the lady typed a zip code in and it generated a new rate. I want to understand WHY it went up and when I asked, she answered I dont know anything about _name of city_ its just went up in a very condescending tone. As my insurance agent, you would think I would be offered a better explanation. If you dont know, who does??Conversation ended with me saying I want to cancel my insurance and her saying in a tone I would expect from my teenager you want to cancel??? Ok and hung up the phone. No confirmation number, no end date of services. So I called back and spoke with a man this time who didnt understand my frustration from speaking with the first two women who are getting paid to do absolutely nothing but type numbers into a computer and be ignorant to any basic questions, and this guy also hung up on me as I was trying to cancel my policy, request a confirmation number, and also inquire how the other two ladies I spoke to have a job if they cant answer a basic questions and treat customers poorly. So I called state farm like I said I would and was offered a rate $30 cheaper than Allstate and saved me 18% If you want a fair weather insurance agency that will smile and take your money for years until you have a valid question, talk to you like a child and hang up on you THREE TIMES inhibiting you from canceling your policy, then choose Allstate. If you want valid questions and concerns to be met with polite intelligent answers, choose any other agency. If youve made it to the end of this review and are considering Allstate, dont do it. At the very least, do not choose this office. They will raise your rates with no explanation because they are not intelligent or qualified enough to give you one. I just spent time on the phone with Ashton, updating my car insurance policy. She is very pleasant and was such a help. I mentioned that my car has been in the shop for over a month, and she quickly told me that she could update my policy reducing my premium until the car is repaired, saved me $100. Thank you Ashton!
