I was downtown for business, and I drove my sick colleague to this place, hadn't been there for about four years, and it's really gone downhill.
Its exterior, entrance, and interior area are unclean, unsafe, unsightly. The aisles are unstocked, and the pharmacy's hours and staff are unreliable. No one was there to suggest medication.
We were harassed by substance abusers and beggars in and outside the store. The guy cashier behind a big piece of plexi-glass was unfriendly, like the sentry-like clerks at Plaid Pantry.
I ended up driving us to Safeway Pharmacy to get appropriate assistance in a secure environment.

The store has long since looked like a war zone inside and outside the 10th Avenue entrance with trash strewn and gone unattended by staff---a real eyesore. Inventory is less than to be desired---lots of empty shelves and mispricing. The pharmacy opens late and closes early or no one shows up at all to fulfill prescriptions. The store's cashiers are more like uncouth bouncers. Over and above that, my wife and kids cannot go to this store anymore because the installation of a can/bottle recycling machine attracts a long line of homeless, mentally unstable, alcohol and substance abusing collectors, who think nothing of bothering me, a big and tall, stone-faced footballer (with a heart of gold but don't tell anyone). RITE AID, WHAT THE HxCK ARE YOU THINKING?!

2nd time that the website has allowed booking a Covid booster and yet the booster is not available. Its inconsiderate of peoples time.

The pharmacist at this location is petty and EXTREMELY unprofessional! While being fully aware that Im a transplant recipient with no immune system, she made me wait for an entire hour for a medication that she claimed needed prior authorization from my doctor! I brought my phone with my doctor on it AND SHE AND HER ASSISTANT WALKED AWAY FROM THE COUNTER! Then claimed that they sent my doctor the pre authorization paperwork, only for my doctor to tell me they DIDNT! They sent her incomplete paperwork to do herself! When I asked for the number to leave a performance review she kept repeating its on a receipt THAT I DONT HAVE! The manager David says he saw what was faxed and that it wasnt incomplete. So apparently my doctor is a liar now. This place is disgustingly filthy inside, and frankly they are downright disrespectful! David indicated that the pharmacy is understaffed as if thats an excuse for the unprofessional behavior! As if that salves the pain from my surgery his dismissive irritated tone was NOT unnoticed!
No patient should be treated how I was treated today! EVER! This place needs to be investigated for medical racism, and malpractice!
