Employees made me wait 30 minutes for blood glucose test strips. Apparently only one person in the entire store is capable of picking up a bottle off the shelf. I ended up storming out. I WILL NEVER shop at this store ever again. Garbage.

Appears to be going out of business at this site. Pharmacy hours and service drastically reduced. Unreasonably long lines. Shelf inventory very low.

This WAS a reliable, efficient, pleasant pharmacy to use. Starting about a year ago this pharmacy fails so many basic business practices! They refuse to answer the phone, Ive attempted to get through to pharmacy for literally 30 minutes with no answer. This was during business hours! Not lunch break, etc.. They have either transferred or lost every good employee they had. Theres times you stand in line waiting for extended periods of time, when theres 3 employees behind counter, filling prescriptions, listening to the phone ringing continuously. Basically, Ive been using this pharmacy for over 15 years, Ive been very unhappy for many reasons due to the experiences if had at this location. Just doesnt feel like anyone there cares about customers or how important/ urgent some medications are to people. There job is actually very important! I miss how this pharmacy use to operate. Now , there is a good experience here and there. Its not terrible 100% of the time. So I chose to give it 2 stars instead of 1

I requested Covid tests through an online form through my insurance. Later that day when I hadnt heard anything, I called to check on them, spent an hour on hold, and hung up. I then went in person to the store, waited in line for 30 minutes to talk to someone, and was told there were no Covid tests at that rite aid and I should go to a different one. I have no confidence in my ability to check various rite aids throughout the city for Covid tests on the phone or in person. None of this are the nice employees fault, its probably just capitalism :(.

Searching on line, I found the item I wanted. It was available at Amazon, Walmart, Riteaid and others. The Riteaid website indicated "Free pickup at store in 1 hour." I placed my order and received a confirmation email at 8:35 AM advising me that I would be notified when it was ready for pickup. By 11:30 I hadn't heard anything so I used the corporate customer service on line chat feature asking "Are you able to let me know when I might expect notification that it is ready?" The following conversation is quite a statement of customer non-service:
Brittany W (5/6/2023, 11:36:39 AM): I am not we do not have access to store pick up orders in customer care. You will want to contact the store directly.
Me (5/6/2023, 11:36:59 AM): How do I cancel the order?
Brittany W (5/6/2023, 11:37:09 AM): You would contatct the store and let them know that you want to cancel.
Me (5/6/2023, 11:37:42 AM): I didn't place the order with the store. It was placed on line from your website.
Brittany W (5/6/2023, 11:38:02 AM): All orders placed for store pick up can only be access by the store. Please contact the store for assistance with this order.
So, I had to search for a phone number for the store, called and explained why, and was told, "I indicated in the system that we didn't have it in stock." When I asked how I was supposed to know, she said, "I assume the system will let the customer know." In fairness, she did suggest I call a different branch, a larger one with more inventory.
I called the store she suggested and spoke with Miguel who took my name and number. A while later he called back with the news that the item was in stock. When I arrived, I discovered he had marked it with my name and had left it with the cashier who rang up the order. Glancing at the receipt, I realized she had charged me $11.00 more than I would have paid for the identical product at the first store if it had been in stock. She explained that, "...they are trying to drive customers to purchase on line. This is the second time I've seen this happen today."
This is a one-star review because I don't think Google will publish it without at least one. Suffice it to say, I will never even consider shopping at Riteaid again, either on line or in one of their stores.
