Great veterinarian Dr. Leslie Sanders is our reason for driving across town. The staff so warm, caring and efficient. Worth the effort for good diagnostics and treatments.

It has taken me a few months to write this, so not an impulsive decision, but its important for all pet parents to find the right fit for veterinary care. I started taking my dog here a couple of years ago, so cant attest to what the practice was like previously, but can agree with some of the reviews below about profit over pets. Each visit was very short with limited amount of questions asked before a diagnosis or suggested course of action. This was my first dog and she was considered a senior dog by the time she started seeing this office. Last year my high energy dog started experience tremors on her hind legs during vigorous exercise. I set an appointment to discuss it. After a quick exam and some questions, my dog was given a prescription of pain medications. When the tremors did not go away, she was given a different medication called Rimadyl. Turns out this medication had some potential serious side effects that were never discussed and I was just told its very commonly given to pets. She was also give Rimadyl during her teeth cleaning. A couple of months later she had wild symptoms that seem to come out of the blue: lethargy, lack of interest in playing, vomiting, bloody diarrhea. I took her back in - no connection was ever made with the Rimadyl medication. She was put on a bland diet and appetite stimulant and anti nausea medication. This improved the symptoms for a short time only so have them roaring back a couple of months later. My dogs health rapidly declined right during the holidays in December 2023 when it was difficult to get test results back quickly. After extensive research and even a lawsuit citing potential risks of Rimadyl (these symptoms were not present until the meds started), I emailed the office with links to all the articles the lawsuit and that no one ever stated to stop the medications. No response to the email. I even called the front desk to ask if they received the email, which the receptionist said yes and that the doctors would review it and get back to me. Many websites even warned to stop the medication immediately if there is evidence of vomiting and bloody diarrhea because its a sign the dog is having adverse reactions to the medications and it can lead to liver failure. Liver failure was what she was diagnosed with. I had to put her down after 1 week in emergency vet care, over $10,000 in total vet bills, and and unfavorable prognosis for long term quality of life - all in a few months after the Rimadyl medication started. Also, goes by Carprofen. Turns out leg tremors are not uncommon is Aussies later in life and not an indication they need pain management. Lesson learned.
