You cannot beat this location! Hotel is new and modern. Room is really spacious! Slippers are provided in the room, which is rare in the US . Staffs are helpful and welcoming. Wed love to go back.

Rooms: Very up to date. Slept great in the nice beds Nearby activities: Empire State Building, grand central station, Times Square, Central Park, the vessel, Walkability: Walked to Bryant Park, Times Square, Hudson yards, 5th Ave, Central Park and the Empire State Building Food & drinks: Had breakfast each morning in the hotel. Service and food were excellent

So heres the deal. A lot of the complaints about the rooms have some merit. For instance, for some reason they went with an industrial look for the ceilings (see photo) but it just doesnt match the rest of the decor. Instead it looks like they ran out of money and left the ceiling unfinished. The room is very tight, not claustrophobic but theres no real space left to spare. This tightness, plus the sharp-ish corners of the wooden bed frame can lead to banged shins as you dont have much space to walk around. The shower leaked everywhere- not a huge deal but still dumb. The service at the front desk was exceptional. The service at the roof top bar was poor. Its a great location being so close to Times Square but its unlikely well stay again.
