We lived here about 2.5 years and it was great! The rent cost is very affordable, the building is well secured and clean, maintenance requests are always done asap, but most of all the leasing agents and apartment staff are all amazing people that genuinely care about making sure the time you spend living there is comfortable and safe.

Edit: you cant refund a deposit that was over 40 days out for "damages?" When I never foot set inside the apartment? Why not keep your fee and return the rest? You know, like a reasonable company? You tell me you cant, but tell others you are "working on it." Fair businesses get fair reviews. Simple as. Viewed the building, the halls have too much of a literal old school vibe, and the units feel like caves. Way too much grey. Based on(edit: on a since edited post) their replies to other comments, unprofessional. Over priced, and literally in the hood. Glad I dont live here no matter what gentrified facade they throw over it

Edit: I understand that you were professional, which is why I stated I'm not upset. It was an unfortunate situation and you did what you could. I changed to 4 stars. You have a beautiful property, and im sorry that I had to back out. The apartments are beautiful, but don't apply unless you are 100% sure you want to live there and that your plans won't change. I had some unfortunate issues come up a couple days after I applied that changed my moving plans completely and since I hadn't heard anything back about being approved, I called the office to withdraw my application. Even though the unit won't be ready until mid August anyway and they have time to lease it to someone else, they still kept my deposit as "liquidated damages". I'm not mad at the staff, they're just doing their jobs, and Amy was very kind through the whole process and they did tell me they would advise me if they could return part of it

I've lived here for two years now and it's been an all-around great living experience. The Helix leasing team has been awesome and always been friendly and quick to help with any issues. The lofts are spacious (I especially love the huge windows), the building is quiet, and the neighbors are all pretty much polite. I also appreciate how pet friendly the building is! Highly recommend it
