We stayed here last night after my son's surgery. I've stayed several places throughout the Midwest and I've NEVER felt as welcomed as the manager and staff at Guest House made us feel. We booked last minute due to weather and my son was in a lot of pain. The manager gave him stickers and expressed her heartfelt sympathy for him. They have a restaurant on site, free shuttle to Mayo, free breakfast, vending, ATM plus a pool and game room! The room was clean, staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable stay. The manager even checked in on my son before we left. We'll definitely be coming back and we look forward to the new owners fresh touch.

This place was amazing. Very nice pool and breakfast!! Kenny and the overnight manage Kylie were very very helpful in a situation that arose and did every measure to make things right! It was nice to have the hospitality and care especially during our visit to mayo. Thanks guys!!

I have stayed at The Guest House numerous times over the past four years and it makes me sad to write this review. I tried to resolve it with the front desk, I left a note with the person to ask them to please have somebody call me, and waited for a long time, still no response. I was told there is a new manager and thought she would be responsive, but no. Sadly, this has always been our go to place to stay due to the location and price. (I've even referred people to The Guest House and brought family when I had my surgery). This last stay on January 21 was just gross. When I pulled the covers down to get into bed, there was a crusty HUGE DARK spot, and a hair. I even showed the front desk a photo. The room overall was dirty. I like having an inexpensive place close to the clinic for my appointments, but I seriously cannot understand what happened here. I am simply grossed out. If the hotel is changing and this is the new norm, I feel others need to be warned.
