Michigan First Credit Union (Inside Kroger)

Over a decade with them and now I can't run away fast enough. Only trust them with your money here if you're okay having it stolen! And they don't do anything about it; including freezing your account with suspicious activity or even alerting you to possible fraud! Will update review with more details. Read the other reviews, especially at their main branch, this is not an isolated incident. What is wrong with this place? Or better asked; what is right with this place? Nothing.

I have had an account at #MichiganFirstCreditunion for several years. Recently I had a fraud situation. I filed a claim. Someone was able to take about $5600 from my account. I also filed a police report. Michigan First did their "investigation" and is denying my complaint and will not return my money that was fraudulently taken from my account. Your money is not safe at Michigan First Credit Union. I've talked to the branch manager and the risk management and they are saying they sent notifications. I did see the 2-factor verifications on my phone, but they were not fraud notifications. The credit union is refusing to give me my money back. YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE AT THIS INSTITUTION!!!!!

Horrible financial institution! They're quick to take every penny from my account without any notice! I was charged 250 times and over $1751.00 for the year! If I dont have anyone contact me regarding this matter, Ill be escalating this to an attorney!!! Most of my fees was from utilizing a Co-Op which in return I was still charged fees!!!! Someone contact me at your earliest convenience!

Upon trying to cancel my savings account l have to drive over 50 miles to cancel my savings account which was required when l got a vehicle loan through the dealership ship l was later inform that l had to keep $100.00 in the saving account and there was also a membership fee of $10.00 this was found out after the facts that the loan was approved. If under the $100. They charge a fee of $3.00 I try to closed the account on line and they told me that they never received my cancellation from my email had to call the four time after spending over one hour each call l still didn't get my problem solved. Would not recommend them. I had a very bad experience with them.
