Severe ant infestation. It has been over a week and they havent responded. Dont rent from properties managed by Fineberg unless you want to spend $$$ taking care of all maintenance costs yourself.

biggest cockroach infestation in their 1800 comm ave building but I know this is happening across all of their buildings including mice infestations. the board of health is no help because even though the cockroach issue doesnt get resolved with the monthly fumigations fineberg schedules after complaining multiple times, they are technically doing their part by trying to fix the problem so there is nothing the boh can do. I moved out a few months early because of the amount of cockroaches infesting the apartment and they would not work with me at all despite the amount of weekly complaints of roaches. I literally paid rent at 2 places because I couldnt get out of this apartment sooner, it was the biggest mistake I ever made. The office personnel are extremely rude and condescending, they really dont care about you at all. one other thing to note, is instead of actually cleaning before moving in, they paint the entire apartment white over and over so there are white paint drips everywhere. The paint is so thick because they repaint constantly because its the easiest option to slap a haphazardly done paint job than to actually clean. they even paint the tub then tell you not to put down any shower mats which is dangerous because the paint makes the tub super slippery and is definitely not safe. I also know of things getting stolen and people coming in and out of the apartments without your knowledge. For your safety and mental health do not ignore these comments and STAY FARRRRRRRRRRR AWAY

Even if not perfect, as no landlord is, they are highly responsive and nice people. The laundry service, maintenance requests, and payment system is all automated, which is great. Parking is also available for a fee. I've had friends that lived here for over five years that only left to expand. Reasonable tenants are treated reasonably and it'll be a good going on two years.
Interestingly I've not experienced any issues that the other reviewer has. There's certainly been pest control in the building three times this year but we've never seen them in our apartment and if pest control is here then that makes me think they're taking care of it. Anything that the last tenant had broken or damaged has been fixed with no fee.
I've never had a package stolen nor had them act unprofessionally. With one neighbor issue, management helped resolve it quickly- no noise problems. I only wrote my review after seeing the other because those in my apartment agreed it's not the whole story. If this place is the worst then you'll have a bad time finding better at reasonable rental prices in this area.
In short, the first review is in no way representative of our experience. Great place, great people. We're not on the basement floor, however so perhaps that explains the pests but I'm not sure about the other complaints. It was truly confusing to read.
