White Barn Inn, Auberge Resorts Collection

Went here with my boyfriend for a little celebration/vacation. When we arrived prior to checking in we heard a gentleman at the front desk complaining and cutting his stay short which didnt give us the best first impression. We were able to check in early which was great, the staff was pleasant and very helpful with our bags. We had our welcome drink which was tasty. We stayed in the Junior Suite in the Mays Annex. First impression the room was okay. After noticing the heated floors end where the toilet is, water staining on the ceiling and tiles. It was defiantly not worth the $700 a night we paid to stay here. Especially being in the off season where we spent most of our time in the room. We asked to use the bikes our first two days, it was in the mid fifties the ground was dry. They told us they were unavailable interesting to pay a resort fee that included this experience and not receive it with such fine weather. Location was great you can walk into town. Overall the premisses didnt seem like it was kept the way I had expected for the fair. Lastly, the forecast predicted a large noreaster on our departure day. As a nurse I feared I wouldnt make it back in the storm to make it in time for my shift(after being told from a friend in the area they got stuck and lost power the following day so we wouldnt have got home). We had to check out a day before and nothing was offered or compensated to us for losing that last night. I understand its a business and they have policies but doesnt seem like they care about their retention of visitors. Staff was great, pleasant, and helpful during our stay. Just disappointing how things were handled. We wont be returning, wish I could say differently.

This is our first time staying at this resort, although we do frequent by the Auberge group. We stayed at the Friendship cottage, which was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable, never have we stayed somewhere and rated it a 10 out of ten. From the online reservation, to the Spa, to checkout it was a over the top experience. Our room was brand new, or at least felt like it. Literally a stones throw from the water and the accommodation were absolutely first rate. We ate all of our meals at one of the two restaurants on property, the Barn was the best dining experiences we have ever had. I can see why they were rated 5 Star AND 5 diamond! Not one single complaint, and made my wife's special birthday weekend nothing short of spectacular. We will definitely be back! A special shout out to the Spa Manager, the Bartender, the front desk and I assume the food and beverage director we met at out last night there. All of which made a lasting impression on us throughout the trip, first rate! I don't leave reviews often but this place should know what a good job they did. Thank you!

I really enjoyed dining here! Would highly recommend dining here! The chef has curated quite the menu and each course was very delicious!
